The pill above the Converter is the app's freshness stamp. It reads the same way everywhere a rate appears, including the widgets.
Daily rates carry the time their source published them, not the time the app last checked. Every currency gets them, free.
Hourly rates read by age instead. Premium refreshes a USD base every hour; every other base stays daily and says so.
After 48 hours without a fresh table, the stamp turns amber and names the day the numbers are from. They stay on screen, but never dressed as current.
The rule behind it: a number the app did not fetch can never pass for one that it did. That is why every rate in the app and in its widgets carries the date it was published.
The converter, the catalog and the freshness stamp never cost anything. Premium is for the people who want the whole instrument.
Everything in Free, plus:
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing watching what you convert. MidRate's App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected”, and the app carries no analytics or advertising code.
